Stainless steel sinks

Hello. Boring probably ...

I have a new kitchen, which is nice. It's not a high-end one, just a basic slab-type kitchen (Benchmarx) but with the best appliances we could afford as we cook a lot.

I am mostly happy - but the one thing I am regretting is the sink. We went with the one recommended by the Benchmarx guy, but in reality it feels cheap and thin. I might replace it with something better (is this a huge job if I asked the brilliant fitter to replace it?) but in the meantime would like to make it look better.

Any ideas for wonder-products etc? It's weird - not high shine but not 'brushed' steel either. Just a bit dull and already scratched and watermarked which I wouldn't mind if it looked better.

Many thanks for miracle cures ... Smile

Barkeepers friend! My sink looks brand new Smile

Thanks Blue - I'll try both of these. Do they scratch? I still hate the sink though ... cheap and nasty. So will think about replacing it with a better quality one, in time.

I am not sure if they scratch, but I would advise cleaning in the direct of the the “grain” on the steel just in case.
