Steam mood and cordless hoovers.

So after a combination of having a horrid day and my mop breaking in looking for things to make my life easier.

I’ve been eyeing up cordless hoovers. What would people recommend?

Also my cleaner has been making noises about a steam mop. Reviews on Amazon aren’t great. Any suggestions?

Have in the past bought cheap and not only bought twice but thrice so happy to splurge if needed.

Oh the excitement of my Friday nights these days!!

I have the Dyson animal cordless which I love. I had to vacumn the living room three times yesterday as DS was having a particularly messy day & it literally takes seconds to do, no faffing with the cord & plugging it in. You do have to empty it frequently & make sure you clean the filter as recommended but it does a great job & lightweight.

I had a steam mop, the green one that is advertised on tv, cost about £100. It was ok for a couple of months & then just leaked everywhere. I was never convinced it did that good a job before it started leaking & was quite heavy to use. I've gone back to good old fashioned mop & bucket.

Thanks Topsy. I have toddlers to and think it’s be so easy to hoover up a little mess.

We have a Dyson animal too - it really is with it, my husband enjoyed our so much he was motivated to do all the vacuuming!

We bought the slightly cheaper, noisier version for about £200. The £300 one is supposed to be quieter. We found it is VERY noisy, so much that our neighbor upstairs complained about all the drilling we were doing late at night! On the other hand the volume doesn't bother our new born baby at all. So do try both at the shop and see what you can tolerate.
