Bathroom cleaning difficult y

We live in a house where the previous owner decided that surrounding the bathtub with wooden tongue and groove cladding was a good ideaHmm. No tiling or anything.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to rip the whole thing out and start again. So, my question is what is the best way to keep the mould at bay? I:can't stop small DC splashing in the bath nor can DH and I stop washing.
I know it is silly but I also want to avoid too many noxious chemicals (she says having just used bleach but I'd rather not). Anyone have any ideas?

Dry the wood and bath surround with a towel after every bath and make sure you ventilate, either open a window or put the extractor fan on to let everything dry out.

Thanks. Open windows it is then. PO did not of course put an extractor in and everything is painted with horrible textured paint but I will wipe the surrounds as best I can.
