Induction or gas? Please help me choose

I've always cooked on gas but I was looking forward to an induction hob as a replacement for our old neff 5 rings gas hob.
But then I went to a Neff demonstration and learnt that I can't use my wok properly on the induction. You have to use a flat bottom wok and move the food, not the wok.
So then I thought I'd get 600mm induction with s big gas burner at the side for the stir frying.
But now I'm not sure whether to just go for a replacement full hob.
If you have induction, having previously cooked on gas, do you love it and if so, why?

Any other thoughts or comments to help me decide very gratefully received.

TIA

I’ve got the Neff Domino. One gas, one induction, and a big wok burner in the middle. I mostly use the induction but do stir fry a lot so use the wok burner for that. They are all really easy to clean and, if for whatever reason you don’t like one section you can just replace it.

I've used induction for years but our new house has a gas range and I m a little nervous of going back to it after so long. ££££ for a range with induction hob and that's a lot to go wrong as they inevitably seem to (blew one up, cracked another) and we'll be too skint to prioritise replacing it for years, anyhow.

We've recently changed to induction and I find it mostly very good and responsive. However, the wok thing does bug us as well as large pancake pans aren't of much use on it either. It's quite an issue for us as we do like stirfries and pancakes but for everything else I find it superior to gas.

Circulon do a high sloping/curved sided chef pan which is great for stir fries on induction. (I paid about 1/2 of this for mine!)

Noticed that they also do a lidded wok. Also pricey mind, but much bigger!

Thank you so much everybody. I really do appreciate your comments.

A decision has been made. we are going to have a 600 flex induction with the big gas hob at the side.
Although that might have changed by the morning Grin

Just to throw in that you shouldn't have induction if anyone with a pacemaker might use it

I would love induction
