Condensation on windows in living room

Dalesgirl16 · 22/09/2017 09:23

I have aluminium sliding patio doors in the living room to the garden and in the past week the condensation inside is back. There us lads, half way up the window (floor to ceiling). Can anyone advise what to do to reduce? I have a dehumidifier I use

We have problems with condensation too. The usual advice is to not dry clothes inside, open windows every day to air out the house, that kind of thing, to reduce the about of water vapour in the air.

I use a karcher window vacuum each morning to hoover up the condensation - it's shocking how much you get from each window! This is better than leaving it to evaporate as it will just condense out of the air again. We have a small dehumidifier that I use while drying clothes on the airer, but it doesn't seem to help much.

I've not heard of a window vacuum! Thank you!

I have read a lot of negative reviews on them on Amazon? That they break easily?

Haven't had any problems with ours and we've had it for a few years.

We have the same one as sleepyheads and wouldn't be without it.
This morning was particularly bad and it worked wonders. We have had it for 3 winters and it's never been any problem.

We also open all the windows every morning for a short time, and try never to dry clothing indoors (use a washing line outside).

Get another dehumidifier. The bigger the better.

Might not be possible but the best best best solution is a woodburning stove!

I also have window vac and two dehumidifiers. Meaco dessicant one. Works great
