How to store buggy preventing mould

Hi

I have a city mini double buggy which I use occasionally as an emergency if my car breaks down or one of my kids are ill. Thing is it's taking up so much space in the house for something I don't use that often.

I was thinking of storing it in the garage because it's accessable if I need it. The only thing is, I'm worried about it getting mouldy.

Can anyone recommend the best way to store it to prevent mould getting to it please? I'm not sure if wrapping it in plastic would cause more of a prob. Or I was thinking of buying a large waterproof material bag to store it in (Gate Check make one), but again not sure if this is enough protection.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Does the material part come off for washing? You could store that separately, inside.

What pondering said - take the fabrics off and store them indoors, store the frame outside.

Not sure, will have to take a look about the covers coming off.

Can't use the loft because I wouldn't b able to get the buggy down quickly if I needed it in a emergency.

Thanks

If it's similar to the single the covers clip on and off quite easily. I used to wash mine regularly because my youngest was a poorly bugger as a small and covered everything in sick on a regular basis.

Just make sure it's bone dry.

I have 3 buggies that were stored in my garage for 4 years. The only one to get any mould was one that somebody borrowed, I'm 90% certain they wiped it down before returning it so it was put away damp. The areas that went mouldy were the straps and front of the seat.
