oooh DD projectiled over us in bed (pasta and tomato yum) - wash everything on the hottest wash you can and then hang outside to dry - fresh air will get rid of the smeel - try one a non-bio and if that fails Daz or something with bleaches (not eco-friendly but needs must)

thanks have done that with the ocvers and pyamas etc, but i had put our spare duvet on floor for me ot lay on and had just removed cover to clean, so it was unprotected, cant put duvet in washer as its too big and will be too heavy when wet?

if you cant fit it in the washing machine then loads of bicarb, hang on the washing line and hose down!! leave in the fresh air for as long as possible and that fabric spray stuff too. febreeze is it called?

Taylormamaloveslindtbunnies · 02/04/2007 12:55

i put my duvet in the machine altho' it is a very light (summer weight) ...

PinkChick · 02/04/2007 12:57

this is quite a light one but is king size????..last time i washed dp's very heavy towelling dressing gown i had to keep putting it on spin cos door would open as it still retained too much water..dya think the duvet would be ok?????, its washer dryer, so i could put it straight onto dry for 40 mins after wash to maybe remove some of the excess water?????

YOu could try taking it to the launderette - the machines there are bigger.

Taylormamaloveslindtbunnies · 02/04/2007 13:01

best thing to do is google your make of washing machine and see if it can take that weight and size of duvet - i don't want you to end up with a sopping wet duvet on my account

PinkChick · 02/04/2007 13:02

we dont have local launderette, plus dd still ill and have no car, so im trying to do the job here.bicard, seems to have done trick on smell..have soaked area then scrubbed it with clothes washing liquid..

Well done you - horrible job. Hope you've got the same sunshine we've got here to hang it out in - that will definitely help too.

PinkChick · 02/04/2007 13:06
