Hi, does anyone use Aldi and/or Lidl cleaning and washing products? Wondering how they compare with big brands. And do they do non bio for little ones?

& also, don't the non-bios have extra bleach (or something) in to disguise that they don't actually wash that well?

Using bio powder was a revelation after years of non-bio liquid! Everything's so clean Grin

Just the powders (liquids don't contain bleach). But you're right, they have a higher bleach content than bio, as unlike bio, non bios can't rely on enzymes to remove stains.

Aldi/Lidl cleaners are not at all bad (in fact, Lidl's "Formil" bio washing powder is the absolute best powder you can get in the UK according to Which (only matched by Ariel).

I remember Aldis "Almat" being a best buy once, but recently the manufacturer of that powder as changed, and it has now fallen from grace and is mediocre.

Notso there must be some reason as biological brings DD out in horrible dry rash.

I absolutely love the smell of Lidl colour washing liquid. It smells like melon.

MikeUniformMike I'm reading this one right now and definitely going to try the French manicure! experthometips.com/2016/06/06/incredibly-smart-uses-for-rubber-bands/ I've got loads of pesky rubber bands left behind by the postman...

Lidl colour super concentrated laundry detergent in a purple bottle called Formil. Smells lush!

Great ideas! Thanks IDoDaChaCha.

I only use Lidl and aldi cleaning stuff. I wish they would either sell plain disinfectant (dettol type product) or zoflora but I can't find fault with their stuff.

I use powder in the machine and fabric softener sometimes. I have to say they are not heavily perfumed so probably better for everyone. I used some persil small and mighty leftover from rug doctor (cheers mn!) and the sheets smelled bloody lovely but skin wise and environmental that's probably not great.

Love aldi food but the washing liquid stank and the dishwasher tabs are cheaper in wilko.

We have a lidl but it is expensive and short of stock, so one visit was enough.

Aldi magnum washing up liquid is as good as Fairy Platinum - I swapped a year ago and haven't looked back. The bathroom/kitchen cleaners are a bit meh. I haven't tried the washing powder but the yellow fabric softener is lovely. I've never tried any Lidl products.

I mean the magnum in the silver bottle that looks like Fairy Platinum Smile
