Second upstairs hoover

I don't want to keep carrying my heavy hoover up and downstairs.

Thinking of buying a second one to keep upstairs only.

I have a tiny budget, so I can't decide if I should go for a branded second hand one off eBay or a brand new basic model from Argos?

Or not bother and stick to my heavy one.

Sell a kidney and get a Dyson V8 Smile Grin

Lol. Not on my list of options.

Depends what you're looking for. What floor type do you have upstairs? Do you have pets? Do you want an upright or a cylinder?

If your upstairs is fairly quick and easy to vacuum, I'd take a look at the Duronic stick cleaners on Amazon. They come with a washable filter that you empty once full. I got one a couple of years, not expecting much and it's absolutely brilliant as a second/back up cleaner. They're about £25.

We mainly have hard floors with rugs and hall carpet with cat hair.

Will look up stick recommended.

Not bothered what type as long as it is under £30

I have a cordless Bosch athlet upstairs , cost a lot though . If you don't mind cords I'd just get a smallish cheap one .

As your budget is so tight, for a second hand or reconditioned Henry.

I bought a similar looking hoover from Lidl which had no wheel and would be pushed along rugs. Does the Duronic stick roll properly on rugs and would it cope with cat hair ?

Yes, it has wheels and yes, it copes with cat hair and assorted feathers from unfortunate birds!!! I've found that it works well on hard flooring and rugs.

Sounds good.

Also found an old working Dyson locally £20 too...decisions decisions.
