Cordless vacuum

I'm thinking of buying a cordless stick vacuum with handheld attachment for quick cleans. Have a Dyson for full clean. Any recommendations?

Watching with interest. I currently have the Dyson V6 Animal and whilst the suction is good - when it works - I wouldn't have another one. It's not really geared up for pet hair, despite the fact it's supposed to be specifically designed for it! The dust bucket clogs all the time and stuff gets caught between the filter and the sides which is really annoying because you have to get a skewer and prod it out. Plus the brush is really temperamental and cuts in and out all the time.

It's great when it works. But it doesn't work consistently or reliably so for me it's a very expensive waste of time. Mine is less than a year old - we're moving house (hopefully soon!) and when we do I'll be getting something to replace it, because I am so fed up of it blocking all the time.

One thing about the Dyson cordless, the filter needs a thorough rinsing regularly, even when it looks OK, or the thing won't work properly, or at all. And the filter takes 24 hours to dry. We have invested in a spare for about £12, otherwise the thing can be out of action just when you need it. Dd also now has a spare for hers. Why Dyson doesn't provide a spare as standard I can't imagine.

I hated our cordless Dyson!
We kept reporting them as broken, battery not lasting and whilst their customer service is great I wanted a hoover that doesn't blummin break in the first place, not one lasted more than 9 months before breaking down.
We then opted for the Gtech, I've 5 cats, dog, kids and need to hoover daily. It's not great on edges but they do a second handheld tool which does those, battery lasts about 40 minutes so I can do a deep clean using both. I also like the little air fresheners in it.
I would never recommend Dyson to anyone

We've had our Dyson cordless for a few months and love it!

I absolutely love mu Bosch Athlet! I compared the Dyson and the Bosch in Currys by emptying the contents onto their carpet and re-vacuuming and although the Dyson was fractionally better, the battery life and price difference made the Bosch better over all.
