How often do you change your bed?

Think I have a fetish about clean sheets, I have to change my bed about twice a week, more in the summer, cant stand 'sweaty sheets'. Nothing better than getting into cool clean ironed sheets. DH says I'm weird.

Once a week and I iron bedlinen. No matter how bad things get here I can't not iron the sheets.

cazzybabs · 25/03/2007 18:46

I put my white company sheets on unironed...I hate ironing.....

SherlockLGJ · 25/03/2007 18:50

Ok.............

The ironing lady irons the bedlinen and the cleaner puts it on the beds every Thursday.

I........ however have to put it in the washing machine and then arrange for it to be dried.

LGJ legs it, very aware of how lucky she is..

When I want sex (clean bed almost always gets ruffled on the first night )!!!

Laura032004 · 25/03/2007 18:55

Every day, but only because DS2 has reflux, and pukes on the bed most nights Otherwise would only be weekly. DS1's bed - weekly, or as required when he's snotty!

SlightlyMadSpringBunny · 25/03/2007 18:56

Oh and a neatly folded sheet at the bottom of the pile in teh airing cupoboard irons itself thru the weight of everything on top of it....

lou33 · 25/03/2007 19:29

ch-a-nge?

My sheets get washed when they're rigid enough with dirt and food spills to walk themselves to the washer.

hana · 25/03/2007 19:53

every week, the children about every 2 weeks in winter, sooner in the summer. baby every few days.

tkmaxx have some lovely high count cotton ones, worth a look

littleEasterlapin · 25/03/2007 19:55

Sensible answer - weekly.

We've got a memory foam mattress too - it's joy except it's so deep none of my kingsize fitted sheets quite "fit".

As for ironing sheets and duvet covers... my mum does it when she comes to visit, and I must admit, is IS fab, but I SO can't be arsed!

Nikki76 · 25/03/2007 19:57

When there's a wet spot....

EdieMcredie · 26/03/2007 11:02

Go to Web Offers at The White Company, some stuff is 60% off.

I change mine every two-three weeks but more often in summer.

prettymum · 26/03/2007 11:05

weekly , i have to do it today when i can get my arse roud to it

lou33 · 27/03/2007 14:48

this just reminded me i need to change mine today

Dozeynoo · 28/03/2007 22:40

oh! I thought I was doing well to change bed sheets every other week - sheets one week, towels the next...

charlottegeorgiaolivermums · 28/03/2007 23:03

Not as often as I should change kids more often but have jersey cotton never iron it it's so soft! Iron kids but only if they are really bad else I leave them

TwinklemEGGan · 28/03/2007 23:08

I should do it once a week but I often don't. And I do iron the bedding because it feels so much nicer - but that's why they don't always get changed weekly.

Shosha come and iron my sheets - pleeeeease?
I love ironed sheets, but since I can never be bothered finding another set I always end up washing, drying and putting the same ones back on - which leaves no time for ironing...
They are really really nice White Company sheets though - which makes all the difference - I can't sleep on cheap sheets any more (, but true)

JodieG1 · 28/03/2007 23:29

i didn't realise people actually ironed bedsheets

Clary · 28/03/2007 23:35

Every week. Did them today.

Used to be every fortnight but then a friend rang to ask me the same question and said Phew! I knew XXX (mutual and tidier friend) would say weekly but you would say fortnightly. I was shamed into changing.

Stopped ironing sheets when DS1 was born. They are fitted anyway so it's impossible. Agree Mrs Spoon, still iron duvet covers tho

BallsOfChocolate · 28/03/2007 23:36

Turn the heating off - much more eco-friendly and far less sweaty!

ilovethis · 28/03/2007 23:38

I used to change them every week but now i do them when i cant remember the last tme i changed them
