This is basically my entire house. We work full time and have 3 teenage dc. We are essentially very lazy Blush and I would rather not be spending my spare time cleaning and tidying up.

Also, would you do laundry as well?

Define 'tidying up' - especially with 3 teenagers Grin.

RhythmNBooze · 13/07/2017 14:07

Lol Ragwort.

Picking up and putting away clothes, tidying up make up, books, crafty shit, that sort of thing.

Am I onto a loser already Grin

I doubt many housekeepers would want to tidy up after teenagers - why can't they clear up their own make up etc?

I have a teenager myself so I know what sort of a mess they create - I just shut the door. Grin

Honestly though, no idea how long that sort of work would take a professional housekeeper - at least 3 full days a week I would guess, to do it to a really good standard.

Maybe 8 hours.

Justhadmyhaircut · 13/07/2017 14:25

I am a cleaner. .
4 hours twice a week. .
An hour tidying each visit and 3 cleaning. .
£10 an hour

RhythmNBooze · 13/07/2017 14:35

I know I should get the teens to do it themselves but then I remember how lazy me and dh are and think how can I expect them to be any different.

When you say 1 hour tidying and 3 hours cleaning each visit, would you do different rooms each time or the whole lot?

I am a cleaner and weekly clean a similar sized family home, doing all these jobs, with extremely messy inhabitants. Takes me 5 hours per week and charge £12ph.

RhythmNBooze · 13/07/2017 21:56

Thanks Eyes. Do you do it all in one go?

OP posts:
EyesOfYuna · 14/07/2017 10:32

Yes. Much easier to do it all in one go otherwise they only ever have half a clean house 😊

RhythmNBooze · 14/07/2017 12:10

Thanks for the messages everyone. It's really helped. Now all I have to do is find someone willing to do it...
