Are these cockroaches? If not what are they?

I've found about 10 of these in my flat ..some in the sink,on my floor.
What are they?

Not easy to see because of shadow, but it just looks like a bumblebee.

Same a Nan - that's a Bumblebee. Is there a possibility of a Beehive nearby?

Phew ..rather a bumblebee than a cockroach ..could they be coming up the sink?
Is that even possible.

Yes bumblebee. Had loads of enormous ones flying into the house at night during recent hot spell. DD's best made said don't kill them they are endangered!

Bumblebees don't live in hives, they are solitary and usually live in small holes in the ground.
