I have some excellent sticky stuff remover. Its great at removing the left over pieces of stickers! Got it from local hardware store.
I think WD40 is suppose to work too...

I don't know about nail polish remover, but white spirit will do it.

Stinks, though ...

nickytwotimes · 21/03/2007 14:47

meths is also good, and you can make friends with the local alkies by giving them the leftovers

PestoEasterMonster · 21/03/2007 14:47

Next time a Kleeneze catalogue plops through your letter box, order a bottle of sticky stuff remover. Sorry, if that's not a lot of help for now though.

ludaloo · 21/03/2007 14:47

ooooh....ummm no hardware store nearby sadly, but I'll look next time I'm near one...don't have WD40 either..

Pesto...we have a Kleeneeze catalogue from time to time actually...will order one next time, thanks...maybe the stickers will just have to wait...(they have been there long enough, a bit longer won't hurt I guess)

do you have any of those magic cloth things in the house? i find they remove sticky residue really easily.

ludaloo · 21/03/2007 14:50

don't have meths or white spirits either! (not very well equipped am I!!)

Oh...Aitch, do you mean those micro fibre cloths?? I have one of those....

OP posts:
AitchYouBerk · 21/03/2007 14:58

that's the one... so long as the label has mostly been picked off and it's just the gummy bit left, those microfibre cloths work brilliantly.

I saw Kim & Aggie do it the other day, I think they were using WD40... spray on, wait a minute, then scrape off. But only from surfaces that can take it... (the demo was on a fridge)

ludaloo · 21/03/2007 15:19

Thank you ladies I'll give the cloth and some furniture polish a go (as thats about all I have in the house) If not I'll invest in some WD40...I wonder if DH has some in his car
