HELP!! HOUSESITTING WITH FLEAS AND BABY!!

Been house sitting for a week or so and looking after a neighbour's cat. A few days ago we relocated to the lounge because of the heat - my baby in her sleepy head on the floor and me on the sofa. Noticed some bits on my ankles but thought nothing of it...

Well, today I saw a black fleck on my daughter's face. Went to brush it off and it jumped!!! Since spotted all over my slippers (now in the bin!!) on her play mat (also on lounge floor) and on her changing mat (upstairs bedroom). We have loads of stuff here including duvets, towels, clothes, her toys (some fabric) her sleepy head (which cost a bomb, even 2nd hand!). How do I make sure there are no eggs in any of these things? We are due to move back in 2 days and I want to make sure we don't transfer them to our own house! Already come back to.our house for her nap today as I don't want the fleas on her, poor thing. :( Not sure if that was a good idea though..? Left our clothes at the door and I put on new ones - hopefully that is good enough. Would they lay eggs on our clothes??

What treatment can we use that is safe for a baby and can she be there while I treat the stuff? My mum is away and my husband at work, so I'm a bit stuck how to approach this. Any help/advice gratefully received!!

Itchy just thinking about it!!

indorex spray (available amazon prime) but do it later with baby at your place and dh looking after her. it's amazing stuff and does also kill eggs as well as live fleas and larvae

that should do you til the neighbour is back and can get the cat treated

You need to vacuum really really thoroughly and then spray the indorex and treat the cat too (spot on such as Advocate) then don't vacuum for days and days. Left down and trodden in, Indorex will work like a charm but read the instructions. It's toxic to fish and molluscs etc. The eggs are shed anywhere the cat goes as the eggs are laid on the host and they roll off into the environment. You can't get rid of an infestation just by treating the host. Indorex is your best bet.
