Looking to get a new Hoover either a G tech air ram or dyson? Can anyone recommend or suggest any others similar? Thanks :)

Sebo, hands down. Ours is over 20 years old and still works just as good as when it was new.

PickAChew · 05/06/2017 19:01

Sebo!

Sebo

I love my Vaxx on wooden floors but it's useless on the thick pile we have in the bedroom - either it doesn't suck enough or, if you change the setting to 'heavy', I can't move the damn thing! (Able bodied 20 something!). Would recommend it to anyone so long as they don't want anything to hoover a thick carpet. Frankly post kittens I don't care too much about that carpet though, it's buggered Grin

Sorry for the double post

BurntBum · 05/06/2017 20:50

I have a Dyson but wouldn't recommend. We recently stayed in a holiday cottage which had a Miele Cat and Dog vacuum. It was fantastic and I'm secretly hoping my Dyson will break so I can get one of those!

Iamastonished · 05/06/2017 20:53

Another vote for Sebo.
Sorry

loopyloppy · 05/06/2017 20:54

I like my Miele.

I hate my dyson. It kick it and tell it how shit it is at least once a week.

Dede124 · 06/06/2017 17:07

Thanks everyone! My mum has got a dyson @BurntBum and she doesn't rate it either! I currently have a Miele and it's very good just too heavy up and downstairs so I deffo want to upgrade to a good powerful cordless vac! :)

Henry/james all the way!! Best one ive ever had. Close second comes miele

SlB09 · 06/06/2017 17:13

Ignore,that just read your comment!!!

Out2pasture · 06/06/2017 17:14

Miele over Dyson hands down, not familiar with any others.

rabbit123 · 06/06/2017 17:38

You'll have to ignore all the above comments. Sebo, Miele & Numatic don't make cordless vacuums.

I've tried a few but never found a cordless vac that's anywhere near as good as a corded vacuum. A vacuum is as big as it is for a reason.

Onynx · 06/06/2017 18:30

Not cordless but just bought the new miele bagless & it's great- v strong suction.

hollyisalovelyname · 06/06/2017 18:42

Miele Cat and Dog

Dede124 · 08/06/2017 16:52

Yes it has to be cordless. Has anyone used the cordless black and decker?

Sebo!

Have a Miele too, but am not 100% enthused with that one, it's still a good little hoover, but it has had its share of issues.

e1y1 · 08/06/2017 17:02

Sorry, just seen you want cordless, Sebo/Miele won't apply.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Gtech Air Rams though (haven't used one though)

MaisyMary77 · 08/06/2017 17:08

I've got a dyson cordless and I love it. Had it for three years and no problems so far.

Brighteyes27 · 08/06/2017 17:10

We have a cordless Dyson and I wouldn't recommend especially if you have a pet as the bag fills quickly and all the hairs get compressed at the bottom of the bag/box and you basically end up having to pick them out. Definitely wouldn't recommend for this reason. Yucky !

triplesalco · 08/06/2017 17:11

I bought a vax slimvac pet cordless and love it!

Use it everyday. I have two moulting dogs, two cats and DD and me have long hair so always shedding.

The only complaint I have is that it needs to be emptied often. It's fab.

gemmatay · 08/06/2017 21:12

Miele for me, had mine a couple of years and it's great!

BumWad · 08/06/2017 21:14

Sebo

redcaryellowcar · 08/06/2017 22:46

We have an old dyson animal, our cleaner is hoping it will break and has suggested a Miele cat and dog. There seem to be good deals on them and from what I can gather the only downside is the need for a bag. We had a Henry in a holiday let, which was very effective, so much so we vacuumed up a sock without really noticing.
