I've been waiting since 9pm for my bath to drain

So I can put some baking soda and vinegar down to try and unblock the bloody thing. I wanted to wash my hair tonight as well but I don't have time now. It is almost done think it'd be quicker to throw a towel in and mop it all out!

Have you tried a plunger? I was amazed at how much hair/ gunk came up from my shower when it was draining slowly a few weeks back.

Agree. Plunger and then bung some drain clearing fluid down it tomorrow.

Can you wash your hair in the basin?

Will pick up a plunger tomorrow, to be fair it's probably full of my hair I malt loads when I wash my hair! My upstairs smells like vinegar now.

Plunging a blocked plughole is one of life's few pleasures.

Have you had your drains cleaned? We had a problem withbsth not draining quickly and it all got resolved when we had the outside part where the water drains to cleaned.

Do you have any hair removal cream, like Nair? If so, put it down the plug hole, leave it for 30 minutes then pour hot water down and it removes the hair.

Will try that if the plunger doesn't work. Would prefer if I could get away with not using chemicals..I have issues with them you could say.

Get a master plunger. I spent most of a day trying to unblock a stubborn sink and that sorted it in 5 seconds. There's no satisfaction in it but it works

I normally prefer vinegar and bicarbonate of soda but DD has stupidly long hair and last time it just wouldn't budge. Besides, the Nair was about 5 years old and I was glad to have a use for it

I plunged our shower recently after a couple of weeks of slow draining.even though nothing came out with the hair grabber thing the plunger shifted loads of muck. It was satisfying and stomach churning at the same time.

I plunged the shower this am. God it's a grim task, there where floating bits of black gunk. I retched. Never have to do it with dcs shower so I presume it's my hair loss that is the culprit.

Bit late now, but a quick fix if you don't have a plunger, I have just used the heel of my hand, pump up and down on the plughole and it is normally enough to get the water draining again if the bath won't empty.

Thank you! All fixed! Got a plunger from b&m for 2.99 and got loads of crap up out of drain and did vinegar and bicarb thing and now all is good! I even have clean hair now!

You might already do so but make sure you brush your hair right before you get in the bath to remove any loose strands, helps a bit
