I tip mine out down the bottom of the garden behind the shed! Blush

gamerchick · 14/05/2017 13:20

Line a pan with a couple of carrier bags or nappy sacks, pour in oil, tie up and put in general waste.

PoopyPanda · 14/05/2017 13:20

Store in jars, take to the oil disposal at the tip.

Fragglez · 14/05/2017 13:22

Put in a jar and throw away.

SusannahD · 14/05/2017 13:22

Pour into an empty 4 pint milk bottle screw lid back on. Then throw away in usual rubbish, better than going down the drain.

MrsJayy · 14/05/2017 13:24

Either pour of a tray covered in tinfoil let it set and bin or let it cool and tip it into food waste bin.

MrsJayy · 14/05/2017 13:25

Oh yeah milk bottle

Skooblies1 · 14/05/2017 14:12

All great suggestions but love the milk bottle one, just got to remember to keep a couple of them instead of chucking out. Thanks all

We also tip it down the bottom of the garden, is that bad??

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 14/05/2017 20:55

I use one of these www.lakeland.co.uk/p71002/Absorb-Binâ„¢-Range

When full the liner then goes in the foodwaste.

gleegeek · 14/05/2017 21:02

Mop it up with kitchen towel and put it in the bin.

LittleWingSoul · 14/05/2017 22:04

Food waste bin. I line the caddy with one of the special bags and as there are usually other scraps in there already some of it gets absorbed by that... The bags don't leak into the caddy anyway!

MrsHathaway · 14/05/2017 22:08

Ours can be recycled at the kerbside. Didn't realise that was unusual!

We just fill any container (typically it's an empty squash bottle) and screw on the lid and put it in the same box as the paper/glass/cardboard.

User11145755 · 14/05/2017 22:12

Get a mug, put small freezer/food bag in mug, pour in the fat, tie bag in a knot, throw in the bin

trixymalixy · 15/05/2017 16:35

I usually try and soak it up with kitchen roll then throw that in the bin.
