One of those ones where you do so many mins of cleaning and then come back.

My house is a mess, I've got a ton of things to do but

  1. I have no get up and go today and
  2. I feel very dizzy from stupid tablets, so got to take it steady.

Please someone quick me up the a$£e!

done the kitchen and am 50% through a mountain of washing

Trix11 · 12/03/2007 12:09

Doesn't this get you motivated.

ive cleaned living room and Kitchen
Done two loads of washing - third about to go in.
clothes on the line are drying
put dd down for nap - shes still kicking away.

still need to clean dining room, downstairs loo, mop floors and all of upstairs.

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 12:11

What annoys me is I did most of this work on Friday (apart from stripping the beds) and having the whole family at home the whole weekend it all gets messed up again. For instance it seems whenever I have given the kitchen a thorough clean dh decides he is going to make a fry up and creates absolute mayhem. Doesn't he understand a clean and tidy house is not to be used

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 12:14

Yes i have that problem too comeonveener. It annoys you because they don't cook before you've tidied it do they???

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 12:41

right i have put another load on line and one in washing machine. put one away.

just need to move stuff on staires and hoover staires.

HOw's everyone else going??

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/03/2007 12:43

ok.
ds1 and i have had our eggs and now i have egg shell crunched into the lounge carpet - joy.

am sat here as i sort through the washed nappied looking for stains, i hate them! lol

if all is well, 99% of them will be on the line by 12.50 hopefully.
actually lets say 1pm. i keep getting distracted by loose women.

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 12:47

lol. i used washable nappies and if i have another i will be too, disposables are awful as they fill up so much landfill. So well done you!!!

i'm having some lunch i'm starving.

Nbg · 12/03/2007 12:58

All fed and watered here.
Ds is having his next nap, dd is watching wonderpets with a bowl of grapes (cut up, just so you know ).
I'm going to get changed and then mop all downstairs.
Will be back in about 10 hours, lol.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/03/2007 13:05

nbg- glad the grapes are cut. i cut ds' up now but i didnt before. didnt think they would still be dangerous once they had a full set of teeth.

loveheart- they all made the inspection and are on the line!!

kids bedclothes all in now.

whilst pegging the cloth out, ds2 has eaten a closer magazine! lol

i still dont feel ive achieved enough yet.

right, kids permitting, i am off to clean the bathroom now. i will have to take ds2 and set him up in the bathroom with me in his bumbo and i'm sure ds1 will help by chucking all the shampoo bottles into the tub whilst im trying to scrub it.

this could take me an hour.

keep going ladies!!

Crazydazy · 12/03/2007 13:06

Ooooh am so jealous, have been working full weeks for past two weeks as I am covering holiday and my house looks like a pit!!! I just don't have the time to clean up the whole house and so I have been doing a room a day, problem is the kids seem to be following me around messing up the one I have just done.

You've made me want to throw a sickie now and go home!!!

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 13:07

Well done ladies!!!!!

I'm off in abit to carry on.

Nbg · 12/03/2007 13:10

Right changed, mop at the ready.

Must find an alternative to Bleach though. The smell is too much.

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 13:10

biological powder is good for floors

Crazydazy · 12/03/2007 13:11

Have you cleaned your Brabantia though Nbg?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/03/2007 13:11

nbg you need some soda crystals. great for everything!!

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 13:24

Right had a slight draw back. I went to check on the washing only to find that the line had snapped and all my washing was lying on the (rather muddy) lawn. Fortunately it was piled on top of each otherso only some of it needs to be rewashed, but had to spend ages unpegging it all and putting it on clothes horses around the garden. DS has gone down for a nap so shopping will now be done after the school run, so I have an hour to myself.

Aloveheart · 12/03/2007 13:30

how annoying. how did it snap?

ComeOVeneer · 12/03/2007 13:37

It is a new house s o the first time I have used it. It is one of those retractable lines that is attached to the fence on one side and you pull it across to the other endof the garden and secure on a hook on the fence. It is actually the hook on the fence that has come out, due to the weight of the washing. I think I need to reporition the hook on the fence post rather than the panel so it is more deeply embedded into the wood.

Nbg · 12/03/2007 13:39

Pmsl Crazy
Dio you know I havent. Its still as grim as the day I started that thread and that must have been a year ago
Bloody thing.

I used a bit of fairy, bleach and ariel handwash for the floor and its done a good job.
