Dyson Recommendations

Hi everyone,

We bought a new Dyson 2 years ago when we moved into our new house and had new carpets fitted.

We went for the Upright Dyson Cinetic Big Ball.

It's been an absolute nightmare to use. Tried it out in the shop and thought it was great. But because we have really thick carpets it's so difficult to hoover to the point we have to use 2 hands to push it over the carpet Confused

The ball on the hoover broke last week. Dyson have been great and offered a replacement.

When we told them about how difficult and heavy we found it to use, they said it could be because of the thicker pile on the carpet. They also said it could be the reason why the ball has broken as there is so much resistance.

They have offered us a like for like swap or we can choose a different model if we prefer.

We are definitely going for a different one as it's far too heavy and difficult to move.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good replacement? Has to be a Dyson though Smile

Thanks

Probably not much help but we have a Dyson Animal, normal carpets though. Could they not suggest one that would suit?

Actually, looking at their website, the Animal is now described as Big Ball, ours is a few years old so not the same.

Adding to what I said above, I would ask them specifically which one would be best, in case it breaks again.
