can recommend AEG electrolux lavatherm..got it as part of deal w/ washing machine..quite pricey but very good, senses when washing is dry...lots of settings, cottons / easy cares / sensitive & special care buttons..

got it as part of deal w/ washing machine so unsure of price on own, sorry..

Make sure and not sort your utility room too well then, leave her some work!

So am I. After lots of reseach have decided on the Bosch WTE 86304 Exxcel which I think I can buy online for £320ish. It seems to have most of the features of the one which I am using now which I can't buy in UK. Just needing the utility room to put it in. Has anyone got this model?

I bought a White Knight Condensor last week and it's fab.I think the model number is 76aw and was only £170.Depends on your budget really but I have heard White Knight dryers are meant to be fairly good,so lets hope they are.

If there is any way you could avoid a condenser, do.

I bought one 3 years ago. he thermostat burnt out twice during the first year. The engineer ended up setting it on a lower temp and it could take 4 hours to dry a load after that. Then the new thermostat burnt out, too. Also, there was a condenser dryer in a house we rented and that thermostat packed in within about 6 months. A friend had the same problem where it broke down about every 6-8 weeks. Luckily, it was under warranty, but what a PITA. She got rid when the warranty ran out.

I bought a vented dryer recently. Best £149 I ever spent.

Loadsatime - I'm planning to get that Bosch one too, my SIL has one and she's very happy with it.
