Have I ruined my cooked hood??

I have one of these Elica wall mounted stainless steel hoods and I've been trying to clean it but I think I may have goofed. It's looking really streaky and my son thinks I may have rubbed off the protective surface, but I've only used normal kitchen cleaners (nothing extra strong) so I'm not sure what to do! This is what it looks like now Sad Does anyone have one of these? how do you clean it?

Baby oil. Really.

I don't have any baby oil, would olive oil do maybe?

Yes. That would do fine. Wipe it on, going with the grain on the stainless steel.

ooh marking! does this actually work???

hollinhurst84 · 27/02/2017 18:25

Yes. Baby oil, I sort of polish it up after applying with a soft cloth

Use weber stainless steel BBQ cleaner - don't need to polish as much as baby oil. Even my professional oven cleaner guy was amazed by it. I use it on all my stainless steel kitchen stuff including a samsung american F/F . A little goes a long way - i just use it on plenty kitchen towel or microfibre duster.

Thanks! I've had a go with olive oil and it looks a lot better... phew! Smile
