Condensation on the outside of the toilet bowl leaking onto the floor.

I've never seen this happen before and don't know why it's starting. The outside of the toilet up to where the water level is has started forming heavy condensation to the point it leaks down into the bathroom tiles. Not loads and I can clean it up with just a few tissues but it's annoying. Does anyone know what's going on and how to stop it? Thanks Xmas Smile

Is is very cold where you are? The cold water filling your cistern and the toilet bowl will cause this to happen when the moisture in the air in the bathroom comes into contact with the coldness. The only solution is to wipe it away

Ours does this. I just assume cold water plus warm house (therefore warm porcelain) equals condensation. I just wipe it off.

Thanks for the responses. It much warmer in our flat than usual because I've whacked the heating up this week so that could be it. We're in London so not really cold.

The only way to prevent it would be to warm up the water in the cistern (not really sensible!), reduce the air temperature (turn the heating down?) or reduce the air humidity (better ventilation?)

I would be slightly concerned as it shows the air in the bathroom is very moist, and condensation will lead to horrible black mould. Is there any ventilation in the room (like a fan), if so, make sure it's used when people are showering etc.

There's the extraction that comes on when you switch the light on. No windows though. It's not boiling in there. I've been there 4 years and we only get mold on the outside facing walls. It's usually a lot colder inside so it's never happend before but it's only about 20 degrees now.
