How to clean a toilet brush ?

Sorry I never seen this thread earlier. There has been "self cleaning toilet brushes" on the go for a few years now...not going to plug the brand because that is against the T&Cs. Really not rocket science but it does work, they have an internal reservoir of disinfectant that you plunge the brush into after use. Hope this helps and the person who suggested putting them in a dishwasher has a hygienic alternative

....maybe cleaning toilet brushes in a dishwasher is not such a bad idea, think I'll give it a go.

I love bleach for the loo. Maybe I shouldn't but I do. Can't see me buying a self cleaning brush but do keep my brush cleaner by using loo roll first then the brush to swish
I use Ecover loo cleaner day to day so I'm s bundle of contradictions but when it's a big loo clean...bleach all the way

Been ruminating a suitable response to Sixisthemagicnumber, who made a good point btw.......think I may have one....

Using the same logic, an automatic car is not really all that automatic if you have to open the door, start it up, select drive, release hand/foot break, mirror/signal/drive off and put in petrol now and again.

I think we have to expect an element of user participation, which in this case is fairly minimal IMHO.

Think the dishwasher should have finished it's cycle by now...moment of truth awaits....

But in this case the fairly minimal is actually no less work than having a standard loo brush which you clean by swishing around and sitting it in a bleach solution. at least with the car analogy you don't have to use gears once you have put the car into drive.

Last 2 dogs fighting over a bone eh ?...keeping in the motoring theme.... you'll have to take the Dip-San for a test drive.

Put it in the dishwasher in the same load as the bin lid and potties (and various horse kit here) then run a cleaner through.
