oil fired boiler not working - help!

I've had the oil tank refilled today and it had run almost dry (thanks to oil delivery company arriving 48 hours late ). Now it isn't working - the relevant lights are coming on but nothing is happening.
It is a Thermecon wall-mounted boiler.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone know why this might be? Is there something that should be pressed to restart things after it has been filled?

I'm relatively new to this oil fuel business. We've only had the tank filled twice before and it wasn't empty on those occasions.

yep thats it
see now you know why I didn't want you to get someone out to charge you a fortune when I was pretty sure you could do it yourself

Congrats on dd3. I can't believe you are managing to feed her and offer online boiler repair services. My goodness, I could barely remember my name after ds was born, and I only had one dc to think about.

Hope you manage to get some sleep soon, and thank you once again.
MN really is the font of all knowledge.

TrinityRhino · 14/02/2007 21:57

oh I can't remember my name

but I have let the tank run empty soooo many times that I definitely know how to do this

dh says you've saved yourself about £45 in a call out charge by sorting it yourself

glad we could help
