Best air fresheners to banish the dog pong!

Can anyone recommend a really strong air freshener for the home?
I've currently got the plug in one which has 3 scents but I can't even smell them!
All I can smell is dog!

Please don't use any air fresheners. They just make it worse! I use zoflora to clean and also keep a cottonball soaked in it away from the dog, but in the same room. Also, dry the dog after you get back from a walk.

I agree with opening windows. I open ours every single. It makes a huge difference.
And diffusers are miles better than air freshners.

Have you tried one of those mobile grooming places? They will come to you so you don't have to faff about with taking the dog somewhere. I use one weekly for ours.

Apologies I've not read the full thread but here's my advice for what it's worth.
Get a camping shower to wash the dog outside. The Hoselock 4 in 1 shower is £25 on amazon at the moment. Fill it with warm water and wash the dog outside using tea tree dog shampoo. Do this every day for a few days to get rid of ingrained smell. You can buy dog treats for bad breath too. I wouldn't advise a finger toothbrush, they're not easy to use.
Wash the dog's bed regularly and add some unstoppables to the wash.
Sprinkle bicarbonate soda onto carpet and leave for at least an hour before vacuuming up.
Any pee accidents can be cleaned and deodorised using white vinegar.
I also use Prices open air candles - the yellow ones are good for animal odour.
Hope this helps
