FLYLADIES - how many of you really wear shoes???

I'm flirting with Flylady (as it were) and a lot of it I like. But the shoe thing really bugs me. I hate wearing shoes indoors and the reminders are beginning to p me off.

So come clean Flyladies. How many of you do the shoe thing. Does it really work? Or are you all secret shoe-less rebels?

Part of me is curious to see if there's anything in it. But my 4yo is nicely conditioned into taking her shoes off when she gets in the door. I don't think she would grasp "mummy wears shoes but I don't" and don't want to undermine her single concession to orderliness!

And if you don't have a clue what I'm on about, look at www.flylady.net.

allsorts,i take to mean you come down ready to fly makeup on ,hair done ,bed made ?
God I'm useless before my caffiene

I have to do the dressed and makeup things first thing before breakfast or I don't have enough oomph to get the bloody breakfast started in the first place.

ggirl - yep - up 15 minutes before the rest of your family, shower, dress, face done, lace-up shoes on. Then ready to face a productive, decluttering and home-blessing day.

I'm feeling better now. I do get dressed as soon as I can and I have recently bought myself some smarter clothes, because I think it does change your mentality. But I remain defiantly shoe-less. And frankly, if I ever "did my face", the rest of my family wouldn't know who I was LOL!

don't wear shoes nope

I see make-up as my shoes now

I find the website more useful than the emails or the fly thread on here

Cappuccino · 15/01/2007 10:51

I'm not getting up 15 mins before my family however

dd2 wakes up at 5.50am as it is

ludaloo · 15/01/2007 10:54

No shoes in our house I'm afraid!!

I don't even have slippers actually! Just socks....
(Unless I have been out and the bottoms of my jeans are wet then I keep them on, so my socks don't get wet.)

Actually I have them on now but that is only because I'm off out in a second.

There are a lot of annoying bits about FLY Ladies tips...just ignore the ones you don't like the sound of

feetheart · 15/01/2007 10:54

Me too Smithagain, family would think they had aquired another Mummy in the night if I 'did my face'
I am usually dressed though as take Dd to pre-school 4 mornings a week and find it less stressful if I know that at least I'm ready!
No shoes here either, or emails, I just lurk on the thread.

Quootiepie · 15/01/2007 10:56

I was a rebel Toyed with the idea of getting indoor shoes, but, even they would mark cream carpet, so just wear slippers. When I FLYed that is. Well, I still wear slippers but don't really FLY

ludaloo · 15/01/2007 10:59

p.s...I never wear make up particularly either...unless I'm having a frumpy kind of week
