If you have engineered wooden floors how do you clean them please?

Most of the time I just vacuum, but it feels like they could do with a proper clean. Last time I used the method floor cleaner and it made the floor smell like damp ply for a while - which I assume meant it got a bit too wet and soaked in. DH thinks that mopping would also be bad for the same reason, so wondered what other people have done?

Hi Op I mop mine, wring the mop out well so it's damp not soaking wet, my floor has been down eight years & looks good, also occasionally use the method wooden floor cleaner(smells of almonds) but I apply with a cloth not a mop, as I find it drys streaky if I use the mop.

We have this in the sitting room. I usually just vacuum, but if it gets a bit grubby I use a well wrung out mop, just skimming over the surface, and for stubborn spots I get on my hands & knees with a damp cloth.

I use a product called soapy wood cleaner - can't remember where I got it from, but it's a specialist cleaner for wood floors & works well.

I bought an excellent cleaning Bona Spray Mop with cleaner from B & Q. Its a great product, just pull the trigger to squirt. The cleaner lasts for ages.

I just use water and a microfibre mop thing and it seems to work well. I don't use any products on any of my floors - water is great!
