any ideas for how to remove mould from a shower curtain. I've washed it, obviously, and soaked it in bleach but no good. Suggestions, please?

Have you tried washing it in the washing machine with an old towel in with it - helps to kind of 'scrub' off the dirt, in theory, at least. If that doesn't work you might just have to ditch it and get a new one, though.

i had that problem before we got a shower cubicle. have to admitt i just bought the cheapest from BQ which was about 1.50 once it got yucky

Bicarbonate of soda, add a little water to make a paste then get old brush like an old toothbrush and scrub away! Messy but VERY worthwile when its all done. B of Soda is my life saver, I use it on everything. I even used it on my DD blackout blind that had small patch of mould from condensation from the window. Works a treat.

I found that soaking in bleach didn't help much but that adding bleach to the washing machine and washing it that way does the trick.

thanks Where do you get bicarb in large enough quantities, Winston?

There is nowhere I know that does large quantities I just buy normal size as you dont need a massive amount. A little goes a long way. You will probably only need a normal size pot and even then you wont use it all. Just aslong as you dont add heaps of water, you need a good paste. The good thing is its so cheap to buy and cleans everything really well. I use it when DD been sick, it cuts through odour brilliantly. SO much better then using commercial cleaners with loads of chemicals. Good luck!

If you choose to get a new one, take a cloth one that you can wash in the washing machine. It's so much easier.

I tried to clean mine tried everything then realised it was cheaper and probably a whole lot more environmentaly freindly to just buy a new one rather than the bottles of bleach and cleaners. Got one for £1.79 in morrisons, so I won't waste time when it starts to get yucky.
