I am so sick of having odd socks! Currently sat in a huge pile of odd socks! How does that even happen!

I spent today hunting for socks that I had misplaced ( under bed etc.?) but I still have so many odd socks

I even bought ten new pairs a couple of weeks ago and I can't even find all of those!

Think I have a serious problem! Seriously wtf ?? Where do they go?

Does anyone else have this problem??

Yes I did so I only buy black socks now so that they all match. I still have that problem with the dds socks, but when their feet are big enough I will buy them black sock too.

Yep drawer full here. No idea where the partners are. bastards

I had this problem and got rid of a huge pile of odd socks last year and now have allocated one colour of socks per person - DS1 had black socks, DS2 navy and DH grey. I buy them all from next and so can match any two of the same colour. It has really changed my life (sad I know!)

Trouble is I don't have a colour for me - I only wear them with boots so really don't care what colour they are but you can't seem to buy multi packs of socks that aren't black, grey or navy.

My mother always says you can measure the chaos in a home by the number of odd socks. Well, I always have a carrier bag full and periodically dump the lot in the middle of the sitting room floor and bribe the younger ones with payment of 5p for every pair they put together.Everyone is happy with this arrangement and I just view it as one of the downfalls of having a large family.I haven't found the answer and have been child rearing for thirty years so far!

we have mesh bags for socks. each family has their own bag (colour coded) and is responsible for a) putting their dirty socks into their mesh bag b) pairing and putting away their clean socks

I don't have that problem exactly but when one sock wears out I just wear it with another lone sock. Makes life a bit more interesting!

jasper DP and I realised we can share socks so we use the same ones.If this is not an option for you, there are pack socks that are black with grey soles or you could buy anckle socks for you or just bet a differnt brand for you Hanes for example has red seams .

I very rarely get mismatched socks and I'm not that organised. Neither is DS.
Every time we take them off they go straight to the washing basket. We don't have dirty clothes lying around.
Then I hang socks in pairs, as much as possible and keep them in a pair when getting them from the line.

If there are odd socks they stay in the clean washing basket until the pair is found.
DS must have only two or three missing socks.
