I want to do so much more (new years resolution) but can't actually see time in the day for it! I need routine and structure though else I tend to do nothing...

I currently work only 3 hours a day (3-6pm) except school holidays (8-6pm) Until we move in feb I'm also out of the house for 3 days from 8.30 - 12.30pm. I also do brownies on a weds evening and slimming world thursday evening...
also college one full saturday a month, plus occassional odd courses (evenings usually)

I want to fit in:

a DECENT amount of house cleaning!
all home cooking - so I want to do treats too (eg biscuits and cakes) plus all breadmaking
time for internet grocery shopping
time for college work (around 3 hours a week)
time for business work (around 3 hours a week)
I'd love to fit in a yoga class and also walking more too (eg early morning walks)
When we move I'd like to grow some herbs and veg too...

Oh... and the bit that I do now that I can't see fitting in is playing with the kids! 4 month old dd and nearly 3 yo ds.
Oh, and spending time with dh of course

How could I do it all???? Why does it seem so impossible?

cos it is? skip making biscuits and bread and you might just do it. I am exhausted just reading it!

WideWebWitch · 01/01/2007 21:28

Have to go because Torchwood is on! But, what time do you/kids get up? and go to bed?
Internet shopping I v often do while drinking coffee v v first thing, so it's not lost time, and I do it mostly from my favourites.

You need FLY lady!
Her website
Might seem a bit bizzarre at first but its about creating a routine that works for you and lots of jobs are done to a 15min timer!
Check out the FLY threads for help.

AuldLangDooDah · 01/01/2007 21:31

you need flylady

I mean the woman's mad, and all that, and American

but the basic idea behind the routines etc is really good

I have a weekly routine that I worked out using a bit of her system worked out for me; I use her housecleaning rota as well

nights when I've more on I do less, vice versa; I looked at how my week was and then wrote it all down

sad I know but it helped; even plan in baths when I'm feeling particularly tragic

Is it all too much to do? I mean dh will help obviously and I like keeping busy lol

I signed up for flylady emails (yahoo group?) but they come at random times of the day and I have no idea what they mean lol

Will it help with routine for fitting everything else in too or just cleaning?

The emails are on the web site so no need to sign up for them. They drove me mad!

dreamteamgirl · 02/01/2007 11:22

Go back into the yahoo group and change your settings to either not getting emails or just getting the daily digest.

If you do the baby steps, and the morning and evening routines you might find the rest just falling out from it. Writing it all down really helps too.

Can the cooking of biscuits and cakes be part of playing with the DCs, especially the older one. Ditto the walking

Internet shopping is slow first few times but v quick after that. I find Tesco's site most user friendly, but Sainsburys deliveries better (colour coded bags, doesnt take much to make me happy) Asda is cheap but the site is so random and is impossible to view your trolley properly- you have to remember what "3pck multiflvr" meant which is just beyond irritating.

Dont try and do too much, start slowly and add bits in as you are coping
