So my living room radiator is leaking - even when not on. It's dripping from the bolt thingy at top, pic attached hopefully. And ideas on how to fix it gratefully received. And yes, wallpaper in really bad nick. Sorry. X

that look slike the bleed point. you should be able to tighten it and loosen it.
they're used for when their is air in the radiator and it needs to be let out.
you may need a radiator key in order to turn it, a couple quid form a hardware store, then tighten it up and it should stop.

looks like you have:

www.amazon.co.uk/MANUAL-RADIATOR-VENT-BLEED-VALVE/dp/B007JX6CVM

so you may need:

www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-282448-Radiator-Bleed-Key/dp/B000LFVEVS/ref=pd_bxgy_60_img_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=18VD0K8X8FJD93S0F1Q0

if the valve itself has gone and using the key doesn't sort it then buy the first link and youtube vids on how to change them. it's relatively simple providing you turn the system off etc. you don't, it can get messy.

good luck.
