Which Miele Vacuum Cleaner (V boring sorry!)

Right, after almost 23 years our current Miele Vacuum cleaner is about to disintegrate (it's been held together with duck tape for a while now and the cable doesn't retract unless DH takes it apart!) so we've decided we need a new one.

We've decided it needs to be a Miele as we can't fault it on quality and reliability.

I've just looked at Miele's website and there are 20 models. We just need a basic workhorse, which can clean a four bedroom, mostly carpeted, house (without pets, but with two DSs) but which one?

Does anyone have any recommendations please.

We've got the cat and dog and it's fine (I don't use it mind you!)

And should have said, it needs to be a cylinder one as I find them easier to move.

Cat & Dog, definitely. The turbo brush is fantastic on carpets.
