I am SO angry, and it's a complete over reaction, but ARGH!

We have just had our bathroom redone, and the plumber thought it would be ok to use the very old towel hanging over the banister to wipe his excess silcone sealant on !!!! WELL... the old towel is my DH's Spurs towel, and I know it's just a towel, but what the hell am I going to do???? When I asked the plumber how to get it out, he said it will wash out so I put it straight in the washing machine at 60degrees, and it's just come out with rock hard bits of sealant all over it. I could cry, but it's just a towel!! But he's had it since he was a boy (it's old!). Oh it's all my fault for leaving it within spitting distance of someone with sealant!!!

Any ideas how to get this stuff out??

Apologies for the overreaction... I do realise it is just a towel...

And (even though it was just a towel) why on earth did you ever think it was your fault?

It was the plumber's fault, he had no business making presumptions.

Don't blame yourself when some damn man gives an explanatin that makes it sound like your fault!!

I should have realised that the plumber was a complete numpty and moved everything out of his reach!!

But yes, it is just a towel : the straw that broke the camel's back
