You know when you open a box of chocs that has been stored in somewhere too warm and the fat has made the chocs go all white and lardy looking (and tasting)...
I was recently devastated when I realised that this had happened to a large box of Lindors I was about to start necking (I'm breastfeeding which officially qualifies as eating for two).
I remembered reading somewhere that there is nothing actually 'off' about the chocolate if this has happened, it is just that the fat has redistributed itself in an unappetising way.
So I separated the Lindors into the various colours (dark, white etc) and put the chocs of each type in a mug and microwaved them on medium for about a minute till the chocolate had melted. Then left it to re-set at room temp, hacked it out with a spoon and can happily confirm it was YUMMY.
Of course if you are more restrained or creative than I, you could pour the melted choc into moulds and make nice shapes, or shave it and put it into hot chocolate... but the important thing is that the poor bloomed chocolate is not undeservingly consigned to the dog or the bin. Just felt I had to share this with you all.
