Do you iron?

People who say they don't iron don't actually look scruffy. Why do I? What am i doing differently?

I iron as little as possible. If there's ironing to be done in our house, DH usually does it.

I take stuff out of the tumble drier & fold it immediately before it creases, and I don't use a really fast spin speed on my washing machine so clothes don't come out too crumpled. I'd do anything to minimise ironing, it's a job I hate.

Very rarely iron. A waste of time.

Take clothes straight out of the machine, shake well, reshape, and hang neatly on a rack or hanger to dry.

As a mum of 6 i don't have much time for ironing but i can't/don't wear unironed clothes.

I dont iron anything thst doesn't need ie, skinny jeans/leggings/underwear/towels. I iron pillow cases but not duvet covers.

I'm sorry i know this is seriously judgey but I always notice that little wrinkly kid at playgroup!

Personally i will always iron some amount.

I iron as little as possible.

As said upread, I buy things which don't need ironing for every day work wear.

DSs uniform has to be ironed so I have to do some ironing and if anything else has come out of the wash and needs it I'll get it out of the way.
I've been known to hang a top from the shower rail whilst I'm in the shower so the steam drops the creases out.

I don't think we look untidy or scruffy. Hmm

No. But I send two baskets full out each week, which get returned 48 hours later pristine. We wear mostly natural fibres, including bedding, and I hate things looking creased. That said, I don't care a bit what others do, I personally like the way ironed clothes/bedding look and feel.

CainInThePunting · 16/11/2015 23:23

Oh, forgot to say, I wash at 30 and hang immediately which seems to make a difference.

I pin up school uniforms when they are wet, they dry beautifully uncreased. Most other clothes don't 'need' ironing as they are stretchy. Cotton shirts, silk tops get ironed just before wearing. No other ironing.
