Bicarbonate and hydrogen peroxide

Have any of you used this combination?

Lots of pics on Pinterest about its success as a cleaner (burnt on bits, blackened pans and oven trays, oven glass etc). Pinterest call it Baking soda, but I assume that's bicarbonate?

Baking soda is the US term for bicarb. Soda crystals or washing soda is different and can be used for laundry and other cleaning - really good at shifting grease down sink pipe work, softening water in the washing machine and getting better results from washing powder (you can use less detergent too) and other general cleaning jobs. Don't confuse the two though.

I haven't used peroxide, but it's a type of bleach which can be used for some cleaning tasks.

Bicarb is non toxic and a good odour neutraliser.

Just a thought, but if you put bicarb with vinegar it fizzes up and lots of people think this is great for cleaning things. However while the initial reaction is quite impressive, one is alkali and the other acid, so they just neutralise each other. Peroxide is a weak acid so combining it with bicarb is probably just a waste of both.
