I have had it for a week now. Thought the machine would be great as everyone on here raves about them and because of the price and name.
I have tried all cycles and my washing is looking worn out and not all soft and fresh that I expected it too. Not that great with stains either. Wish I could send it back! Sad

I cannot believe some of you don't like Miele dishwashers. I have had 4 other brands and they didn't come anywhere close to cleaning the dishes as well as my Miele. Washes quicker too....

i also have fridge, freezer and tumble dryer - I am a Miele slut

LettuceLaughton · 29/09/2015 12:29

It's true that Miele have excellent customer service - it'd be well worth speaking to them.

My super duper Bosch is pants too - I think it comes down to the way they ration the water now. They are so miserly with water to make sure they get the A efficiency rating. And listening to people who have 15+ year old machines doing sterling service only tells you that they were well built 15 years ago!

We had a bog standard, cheap as chips Hotpoint which lasted well over 10 years before giving up the ghost and it was fab. Bear in mind that if you buy a cheap £200 machine, you could replace it 4 times in 10 years before you have reached the £1K a Miele costs.....

Our Hotpoint was the worst washer I've ever used and it wasn't cheap either. It took ages to wash, didn't spin properly half the time, was very loud and seemed to spend more time sat full of water and wet washing than it did tumbling the load. If anything had the tiniest stain on it, it had to be pre treated. Not an issue with the Miele, I just shove everything in and it all comes out spotless.

Thankfully the Hotpoint bearings went after just 2 years. Hotpoint got bought out by Indesit and they've been crap ever since. Shame really as the old Hotpoint's were brilliant

rabbit123 · 29/09/2015 12:54

VeryPunny, £1000?!? My Miele was almost half that - £549.

Tostartagain · 29/09/2015 16:25

Yes I agree with older machines with more water and shorter wash times being better. I will never buy anything made by Miele again! What a waste of money that I didn't really have to spend in the first place but thought it would be worth it Angry I have emailed Currys to see what they say and if no reply then I shall call tomorrow and if still no luck after that I will try calling Miele. Lets hope I get somewhere with that!

Hi OP, sorry to hear that you're not satisfied :( ours took a lot of getting used to and once we'd figured out what worked best for what, its been good, only problem is the detergent drawer has got powder residue in it thats solidified and it kind of looks like its pitted? thats the main bugbear about mine.

Best of luck op Wine Flowers

Tostartagain · 29/09/2015 18:18

Thank you Missing. murphys yes I tried the lower spin but if anything they came out worse.

I'd contact them just incase there's something wrong with your particular machine.

I have one and find it to be excellent. When we stay in holiday cottages or at relatives and use other brands I find the washing doesn't look half as clean.

Got to admit, got a Miele vacuum and very, very disappointing.

So agree, Miele is very much overhyped junk IMO. Would not go out of my way to purchase anything else Miele.

Tostartagain · 02/10/2015 10:00

I think Miele products do look like the are built to last but just don't perform as good as they are built.
