how to deep clean a highchair?

My ds2 will soon be in need of ds1's old highchair. Having got said chair down from the attic I now have a massive cleaning job on my hands. The covers and straps don't come off so I can't bung them in the machine. Does anyone have any ideas how to clean the chair bringing it back to the original colour? I've hopefully attached a photo to help.

The padded bit should come off for cleaning. Thread straps through. Garden hose and a bucket of hot soapy water. Replacement pad if a bit iffy.

Cif liquid, the white gritty stuff, on an almost dry sponge. Wipe it off with a soft cloth well wrung out. Leave it somewhere sunny to bleach and dry off. Try not to soak the foam inside the cushion or it may take a long time to dry.

Surely the straps should come off? Is there a hidden panel behind the seat?

A steam cleaner worked well for us
