I clean my windows with a duster and windloene or equivalrnt. When th sun shines through though I can always see smears where I polished and it looks bad. How can I get the clear effect or is that not possible? grateful for anyadvice.

warm water with a couple of dashes of vinegar, I use a blade to take the worst of the water off then dry properley with kitchen roll.

I wash my windows with water and a mixture of the smallest amount of washing up liquid and lemon juice. On the inside i go up and down and on the outside I go left to right. Then I dry them off with kitchen roll, same actions. I can then see smears which I 'polish' off with a totally clean duster and because you go 2 different ways, you can see whether it was on the inside or outside. If I do it with an actual window cleaner I do the same thing. Quite often I will just use kitchen roll if I use cleaner rather than water. Its important that whatever clths you do use to do the polishing bit are totally clean as smearing can be dirt from the cloth etc.

God I think I actually bored myself there
