Can anyone recommend one that wont break the bank? Or maybe one of those very thin light uprights?

I have two cats that leave bits everywhere and want sonething i can just run over the chairs and bed without having to lug the Henry up and dowb stairs. I have the steepest stairs in the world.

How about these? It has a turbo head for pet hair and is much cheaper than the Dyson and Gtech hand held vacs.

I have the Morphy Richards upright cordless, with detachable handheld 'DustBuster', I find it very handy (I have 2 dogs and 15 cats but all tiled floors)

Bloody hell Costa i'm an amateur with a mere 2 cats! Will look into that then, if you find it useful I'm sure i Will!

Ha ha - it's pretty good on tiled floors (I'm not in the UK) and so handy being cordless, it does have a motorised brush head so think it would be ok on carpets too

That's great, my first concern was the beds/chairs but i do have hard flooring in the kitchen and that goes into a large quarry tiled room. I currently sweep but end up waiting fluff and hair about. Off to Google, hope it isn't too expensive......

I got it from amazon, about £80?

I've used the upright Hoover on the dog's bed on the floor and it picked up all the hair no problem, haven't used the hand held bit for pet hair yet
