Stain removal

I've posted this in chat as well as here to get more advice.

Just washed a dry clean only dress as it had a unknown stain on. The wash was a low temp delicate wash but hasn't touched the stain.

The dress is drying on the line at the min but not sure what I can try next. Is it too late to try something like vanish, am I wasting my money?

The material of the skirt which has the stain on is 97% nylon and 3% elastane.

It might come out with sunlight. I find synthetics are often the worst things to try and treat tbh. Heat sets stains so can make them even harder to get out. Nothing to lose in trying to treat it and rewashing.

If it looks greasy then I would try rubbing some washing up liquid into it with a some water and then rinse through and rewash it in the machine

You could try Ace bleach. which can be used on colours. But test it on the inside of a hem first.

It's a very delicate fabric and I didn't want to risk rubbing too much but I got some vanish gold in a bottle with a rubby head which I used gently and washed it again. I left it to dry in the sunlight and it's still there slightly but defo faded to the point it's hardly noticeable
