Has anyone got a siemens fridge freezer?

Would you recommend it? Our fridge freezer is dying, so we're on the lookout for a new one. I've seen a siemens in our price range, but I've never had an appliance form them before.

I was recommended my Siemens fridge freezer by a refrigeration specialist and a year down the line I've been very pleased with it.
It is not frost free but reduced frosting - this is a big positive as the internal space of both the fridge and freezer are much greater than in my old frost free one as the (?) condenser is much more compact. I have only had it for a year and not needed to defrost yet. The internal layout of the fridge is very well planned.
Siemens as a manufacturer has been around for a very long time but not in domestic appliance market - their reputation was excellent in my work field.

Yes, and also a similar Bosch.

The Siemens has a knob, not push buttons, to set the fridge temp, and no fast-chill button or temp indicator (you have to open the door to see settings). You have to put a thermometer inside the fridge when adjusting the temp with the knob to get it right.

The buttons and the visible indicators are better (the Bosch has them). Didn't think about it when buying.

The freezers are much smaller than my old upright freezer (which was not frost-free).

When a FF goes wrong, it is most often the frost free ducts or circuit at fault.

I have one. Not frost free as wanted as much internal space as possible. Very pleased with it.

you probably know, but if not, Siemens brand household appliances score well in Which, they are designed and built by BSH which is a joint venture owned by Bosch and Siemens (which are two independent companies). Build quality and reliability are high for both brands (and other BSH brand names, such as Neff) though Siemens aims more upmarket and some of their products have more features. You often find special offers at JL.

They are not a bad brand IMO though I would be wary due to having a washing machine from them which stopped working after about 20 months. Pump had failed - great customer service and they replaced it for nothing as it was within the 2 year guarantee.

But even so - a pump should not go after less than 2 years of not very heavy use.

I like their fridges because of the magnetic removeable seals on the doors - love to have those - but in the end went for a Miele as the build quality is just really good.
