Hiya

As the title suggests, I need help getting whites white (mine go kinda off white and eventually grey) and how do I get stains out of clothes (including the whites!!) that are mainly from cooking and therefore grease based? Normal washing powder doesn't seem to do the job..

Thanks!

washing up liquid for grease pour it on neat add a little water if you want and just rub. should come out no problems. I use glo whites or even curtain whitener on my whites - bring them up a treat.

second napisan or glo whitener for whiten whites and if you can - put them out in the sun to dry - if there is any at this time of year.

Second Jan about the compartments. I use Shout on individual stains, but to keep my whites white nothing can beat Glo White super whitener, used with whatever washing powder/liquid you normally use. (Ours is currently Persil but only because dds want me to send off for the Penguin they're offering.

You can get Shout and Glo white from any major supermarket. www.glocare.co.uk/superwhitener

Thanks for all the help!

I've tackled my monster load of laundry and have run outta drying space - I have clothes over the banisters, the curtain poles, the radiators, the drying racks! The sad thing is I'm only half way through, so I predict another laundry day tomorrow too.. and possibly even sunday

I did a white load using the glo white stuff and I am amazed.. They look soo much brighter then before (but that might be down to the fact they are now clean )

I'm having dfficulty removing stubborn spot stains from two white shirts, 2 spots per shirt. I've tried vanish stick pre-wash and oxiclean but they won't budge. I have no notion of their origin and am now contemplating using neat bleach just on the spots themselves, any advice before i jump in.
