Poo and orange food stains

How's best to get them out of DS's White vests? They're old stains, not fresh. (Although any tips on how to clean when it first happens I'll be interested to know for future stains.)
I've chucked them in the wash and not coming out.
I would chuck them and buy new but it's nearly all of his vests stained with poo (he had diarrhoea). Although will chuck if I can't get them out but would like to try first.
Any tips? Soak them? What in? Bleach? Vanish? Super hot wash? (What's hottest without shrinking?)

Uv light! It's amazing! I wash with fairy non bio after spraying with vanish spray but inevitably the stain is still there. Hang them outside and even on a day which isn't overly sunny the stains go - it's great!

Weather. A week on the line will sort out stains on white vests.

soak for 24 hours in a strong Napisan solution. wash and put on the line (or in direct light )

Will Tesco sell napisan? Is it a baby thing or cleaning thing? What department to look in?

Yes, any proper Tesco should have it (Metros probably don't). It is normally with baby stuff like sterilising liquid, but check stain remover aisle if you can't find it. Looks like this

Make a really strong solution and soak. Preferably overnight or even for about 24 hours. Things may come out with a worrying blue tinge, but that will wash out when you wash it. May need an extra rinse cycle cos it's quite bubbly!

It is great stuff. Also good for putting a dose into the machine if you are washing bedding or towels when there have been accidents/illness or even clothes. Watch out for soaking colours as it does fade things, but will remove the stain at the same time.

It is a really old school product originally designed for washing terry nappies. I really rate it.

Supermarket thin bleach. Around 30p for a massive bottle. With the cleaning stuff. Dip the soiled bits in a bowl of the neat bleach. Don't get the poppers in and don't leave for too long, maybe half an hour or so. Then wash on a hot wash with bio. Works with old and new poo and tomato stains. Obviously only on things that are 100% white and 100% cotton.

I've done sunlight at the windows too. It takes longer than getting it directly outside, but still works.

I prop my white chopping board up in front of the window to remove tomato stain and it works a treat. Clothes on a windowsill would work too.
