House is superficially clean but grubby round the edges, is yours?

Clutter is not the problem, everything has a place (mostly!), but once I've done the basics each day: washing on, dishes, tidy up, Hoover, wipe down of kitchen/bathroom surfaces and occasionally a quick dust of other surfaces, then I'm tired and bored and have a million other things to do.

But now I'm spending so much time in my house (may leave) I'm noticing things that we never get a chance to do: cobwebs and windows, down the side of the washing machine Shock, inside drawers etc.

It all feels like a mountain that we could never get to the top of.

Dusting? Please, what is this foreign concept?

Avoiding food poisoning works for me.

Daily - clean surfaces which come into contact with food in the kitchen, bleach in the toilet and the bathroom sink wiped. Kitchen and eating areas swept for crumbs etc (we get ants). Clean clothes to wear, but only ironed for special occasions. Spills mopped up as and when.

2-3 times a week or when they start looking grubby, kitchen & bathroom floors washed, living room swept.

Weekly(ish) - clean bedlinen, sweep bedrooms.

DD has always loved washing the shower/bath when she has her shower or bath Grin her current fascination is the big mirror above the bath - it is always sparkling Grin
