I'm sick of picking up after 10, 13 and 5 year olds. Who tidy's their kids rooms everyday?

Can't you get them to do it?

Madness...Make them do it....

My son has been Tidying after himself since he was 18 months old, before he went to bed, all his things went in the chest in the sitting room or up to his room.

His room was age appropriate jobs... I cleaned skirting boards, vacuumed and put bedding on once a week.

He is now 16 and he does coving and skirting himself once a week. I still vacuum (only because I am precious about the upright) but he actually changes his bedding more than once a week. His room is cleaner than my own.

Start taking things away if it is a mess and don't give it back until the room is in a fit state to have the items in.

And also make a list of household jobs like hoovering the stairs, dusting and all of them are old enough to take part in helping in the house.

I think you have made a rod for your own back, but today is the day for change.
