Why am I the only person in the world who knows how to load a dishwasher properly?

Well I suppose Anthea Turner does. I'll admit that.

But no other fucker seems to understand the basics. Perfectly intelligent people seem to turn into complete fuckwits when faced with the task of loading a dishwasher. And people who started out complete fuckwits in the first place... well, I just won't even go there.

Is it that bloody difficult?

I am frothing at the mouth with at this thread
I haven't had a dishwasher for over 2 years now and I cannot WAIT to become Dishwasher Nazi again - the power, the satisfaction, the control, the clean dishes
Mwuahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

DP won't let me stack the dishwasher because apparently I'm appalling at it. TBH it suits me to be bad at it.

florenceuk · 10/11/2006 12:44

What makes me mad are when "they" put in non-stick (like my expensive SKK frypan), wooden spoons and sharp knives - all of which are no-nos in my book. Also poor stacking (like putting bowls upside down rather than side on). But have never thought about pre-sorting cutlery!

yeahinaminute · 10/11/2006 13:04

The thing is DH and number one son could probably take the bloody thing apart, service it and re-build it ..... but stack it properly, put a washing pog in close the door and press a few buttons ???? ......... No, not a feckin' clue !!

heidle · 17/11/2006 00:19

you're not the only one - we all can too! Just there's only one in each house

I have the flat cutlery tray too in my Miele - both dh and I are alarmingly anal but secretly deeply satified about laying out all the cutlery by category in its own little slots, then just sweeping the clean and presorted bundles into the drawer.

I need to get out more.

AuldAlliance · 17/11/2006 12:21

Why can't you put bowls in upside down?

Do you rinse the dishes first?

I'm sorry Lazycow but I think you may have to change your name if you don't have a dw.

What is spooning? and why is it so bad for a spoon?
