Tell me about your bathroom bins...

Just that really. What have you got? And where from?

We have ikea plastic bins that I line with a bag. They don't have also and were only supposed to be temporary after we moved house, but they're a bit ugly and I don't like the fact you can see what's in it.

For those who have small bathroom
Bins I line mine with nappy bags rather than shelling out for those expensive mini brabantia ones (or similar)

This Ikea pedal bin

We only have a small house - we have this on the landing, lined with a carrier bag - works for us Smile

We have this one: www.simplehuman.com/uk/4-5-litre-retro-step-can-fingerprint-proof-brushed-stainless-steel

Bathrooms without bins are just awkward for when you have a period. I often wonder what the females of the house do. I end up rolling up in loads of loo roll and stashing in my bag so I can bin later Blush

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/04/2015 09:38

Small plastic pedal bin from the cheap shop, lift out bucket so no liners needed. We had a cheap stainless steel one but it eventually went rusty from steam and splashes. Agree, you must have a lidded bin in all toilets, for sanitary waste.

tametempo · 03/05/2015 13:27

Exactly the same as Whoknows We started off with a metal lidded bin but it got so rusty in our small bathroom.
We have a small plastic pedal bin now. Bought from Argos.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 03/05/2015 13:45

I've got this one - soft-close lid, holds a lot & tucks into a small space.

I bought it just before Christmas & it went on half-price straight after Hmm. They make a semi-circular 10L one too which would also be s good bathroom bin

I have a small brushed stainless steel pedal bin. With a well fitting lid. Always with bin liners despite having a lift out plastic inner bucket. I'm horrified when I go to people's bathrooms and there is no bin or no bin liner. Yuck!

One bin does the whole floor, so all the bedrooms as well. And a recyclables box on the shelf outside.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/05/2015 15:50

If people don't use a liner I assume they clean the bucket like I do, no need for yuck.

TheBoov · 04/05/2015 03:45

It's really not nice if you are visiting and you have a pad to dispose of!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 04/05/2015 05:35

Eh? Don't you fold and wrap your pads?

chocolatelife · 04/05/2015 07:38

i like that frog bin, i like bins that you can't see inside, whatever they are called, instead of pedal bins, but i find the lids often break, so have stuck with pedal bins and instructions to DDs to put sanitary waste in nappy sacks.

TheBoov · 04/05/2015 10:49

Of course I fold and wrap in loo paper!

I really don't like the idea of my friends having to come in contact with my bodily fluids. I do find it yuck.

tametempo · 04/05/2015 12:56

I don't use a liner Blush but I'm an unsociable git and don't tend to have visitors round.
I give the bin a spray and clean each time I empty though.

AdoraBell · 04/05/2015 17:40

I have one like Teddybear but DDs have cheap old plastic ones for now. Will but nicer ones when we move.
