Glass splashbacks - is this beautiful or acquired taste?

I'm putting in a new kitchen at the moment and I'd love a glass splashback instead of tiles behind the hob.

I've found this one and DH and I love it - but I'm worrying that it might put off potential buyers as we're not going to stay here long term.

Please tell me what you think of it. Also, if you don't like it, is it just the picture, or glass splashbacks generally.

Really honestly? I like glass splashbacks, I think they look streamlined and clean. BUT - I hate this one (sorry). The ones I'm thinking of don't have a picture, or even a pattern, really - just plain glassy green, or blue, etc.

So yes- it's just the picture. It's totally not to my taste, and I would have to factor in ripping it out. (And I say that as someone who bought a place with horrible eighties tiles - but at least they're old and I don't have to feel guilty about trashing them when I renovate...)

I have a glass splash back and love it but have to be honest don't like the design on that one.
I would also say be aware of quality - they are not all the same. I had a range master splash back which is indestructible, I have specialist glass windowsills and they do scratch and need treating with care.

Would it be easy enough to change if you were selling? I love it, but if you're worried that others might not then you could keep that as an option.

Thanks ladies. Rogan, it would be easy enough to remove...doubt it would come off in one piece, though. But that's probably not a disaster - it's not hugely expensive and could be sacrificed for the sake of selling the house....and we're likely to be here for a couple of years, I think.

Still...not a particularly enthusiastic response from MN, so probably re-think!
